Aloha Friday!!!

Sorry for being MIA this week, i'll get on that later.. but today is Friday, it's time to relax and that only means it's time for Aloha Friday! If you have no clue what Aloha Friday is already, go to An Island Life and you'll figure it out pretty fast:)

Now my Question here is:

What is your choice of stuffing for the Thanksgiving turkey ?

I've been so hungry this past week..that's mainly because i could only drink liquids.. but I'm already dreaming of the Thanksgiving turkey... and i kind of consider making a Thanksgiving chicken.. i prefer chicken to turkey.. but we'll see.. I only have one problem.. what stuffing do i choose??? i was thinking of a combination of red apple, caramelized onions, rosemary and seasoning salts. Now I'm wondering what's your choice of stuffing??? Please do share!!!

Aloha Everyone!

I am no help! I have no idea how to make stuffing. I rely on my inlaws to do all the cooking. They cook two turkeys, a traditional style with all the stuffing and one that is El Salvadoran style. Since all of my husbands family is from El Salvador that is usually what gets eaten up first. Yummy!

I love to make the classic homemade stuffing, but cornbread stuffing is also extremely awesome!

I am a traditionalist when it comes to my turkey stuffing. You know breadcrumbs, herbs and spices...

I like my moms traditional Sage. I think I'll post the recipe on my Kitchen site. It is very tasteful and does not take away from the rest of the meal.

Love cornbread stuffing with lots of veggies in it. Not a fan of meat in it.

Your stuffing sounds delicious. I don't think I have ever had anything so elaborate!

I leave the stuffing making to my mother-in-law since I've never liked stuffing, nope, not at all -- I'm strange I know :-)

I'm so lame when it comes to Thanksgiving :( I don't like any of the Thanksgiving foods at all (I'm a red meat, Italian food kinda gal). I do, however, love desserts, especially those of the Thanksgiving variety. Sorry I can't help you with the stuffing situation but let me know when you need help on what pies to make! Mmmmm :)

I like to look at recipes on www.recipes.com and find a good one. My personal favorite is just the usual one that is on the box, but that's cuz I like things pretty plain tasting.

I don't stuff it, I cook it as a side. Or on the side. I just have a 'thing' about putting stuff in 'there'. lol

My current fav is Cornbread stuffing with chicken apple sausage, sage and sauvignon blanc. I prefer it cooked outside of the bird, so I guess technically it's then called "dressing" instead of "stuffing". But, whatever its official title, I simply call it delicious! I have a recipe for it on my blog if you're interested.

Cheers! Jenn

I've never done a Thanksgiving turkey by myself. Maybe this time we'll do it and I might get a turkey to start out with and use a recipe from someone.

I prefer chicken to turkey, too - though I've been really enjoying the champagne turkey I make each year. :)

I do an apple stuffing - I posted a recipe here:

Apple Stuffing

I modified it to be made in the crockpot so my stove stays free (and I have time to 'socialize' when our dinner guests arrive instead of being stuck in the kitchen). :)

Hey there! Just catching up after all of the birthday party action around our house last week.

Both of your stuffing sound great. I think I would only consider Stove Top, how sad is that? :)!
