Navigation Bar

Here's the scoop on easy HTML tips, SEO (search engine optimization), Blogger help and all news on technical features and softwares!
Today's topic: hiding the navigation bar:)

First thing, you have to be logged in to your blog's dashboard and go under the Design(or Layout for older versions) box and hit the Edit HTML box like so:
Then make sure you save your template HTML before messing with anything.
Now that we're having our backups on the HTML we can move on with hiding the navigation bar. Next thing to do is copy the next code into a notepad:

Like SO:
Then go into your HTML and find the tag "body {" like so:
And paste the code you saved earlier right above the "body {" tag like so :
Then preview what you did and if everything worked properly and the HTML is not broken by any unclosed tags or whatever then you can hit the save template button. And that's it folks! You have a navigation bar that is hidden unless you roll over it and then it shows:) Tricky huh? and so cool:) Anywho i hope you enjoyed Technical Support this week. Check in for something new each week!:)

Thanks for stopping my Jessica Loves to Save Money! (www.jessicaloveostosavemoney.com) I am your newest follower!

This post is VERY helpful, but I am having trouble C&P the code- I don't want to retype it because I know simple errors in HTML can mean BIG Blog problems. If you get a minute can you please drop me an email: jessica at jessicalovestosavemoney.com - I think I can get it, but I need to be able to C&P the code :-)

Thanks for stopping by & thank you for the tips. I've made by nav bar hidden
Btw, (it's just my opinion) it's better if you put the code in a textarea box, so we can copy & paste it easier

I follow you back :)

Thanks following, I have been following your blog now due to needing those design tips! Or as many as I can gain.

In regards to the navigation bar, I do know that it can be hidden and thank you for sharing such an easy way for others to hide the bar.

I have actually opted to have the navigation bar displayed, I'm a bit new (six weeks into this) and I use it far to often. I'm a creature of habit and have been trying to remember to link to the book mark for navigation. That's just not going too well lol!

I'm having a similar problem, I can't copy your code that I'm supposed to put into my HTML code to hide the NV bar.

Would you mind emailing it directly to me so I can copy and paste it?
