4th of July

FF is my new lottery ticket.. seriously this thing is addictive:)

And as always today is not just a regular Friday, it's also Aloha Friday! If you have no clue what Aloha Friday is already, go to An Island Life and you'll figure it out pretty fast:)
Now my Question here is:

Any 4th or July family traditions??

My answer:
Since we've been married, my husband and I started our own traditions, and even tough now we are in Germany(and people here don't necessarily celebrate that.. only in Berlin maybe, but anyway) we found another way of still feeling the spirit. Our city has this annual festival that it's held right between 1st-5th of July.. which means also the 4th:) Every year we're waking up bright and early and go to the fair for pancakes..mmmm.. then we're buying loads of candies, popcorn and hot-dogs with corn for lunch(it's the most American it can get here:)) and at night we're hopping on all the concerts they're having everywhere, we're taking rides and we end up watching the fireworks at midnight:) So we kind of celebrate the Independence Day even if the festivity here is not necessarily held for that:) And this is our own little tradition..psssssst don't tell anyone;) How about you guys any traditions you and your family has on the 4th? Do share! people like to read:)
Happy Friday Everyone!

Found you on Friendly Friday and am following.

We moved here from England and quickly embraced july 4th. Remember, the US fought England to get it's independence. Obviously it's not celebrated in England! We love July 4th and will be at a picnic this year.

No traditions, really. We usually just grill out some hamburgers and hot dogs. Our neighbors always put on a big fireworks display, so we sit on our back porch to enjoy the show.

We used to go to the beach every year..but since having kids-its just so crowded so we stay home. Now we just go out on the boat to watch fireworks!

No real tradition since we had our boys. We usually have dinner/BBQ with family and then watch the fireworks on television.

We go to the parade in the morning spend the day cooking out with family and then local fireworks that night.

We really don't have family traditions for the 4th other than just going to see fireworks!

Aloha Friday! I'm your newest follower :)
Growing up, we always grilled out on the 4th (and sometimes included lobster tails, since we lived in Maine!). Now that I've moved away from the area, starting new traditions, so we will see what Sunday brings!

I'd love for you to stop by my blog and say hello. I'm also holding my very first giveaway, so feel free to pop over and enter or answer my Aloha Friday question.

We celebrate it as a family. This year I start our tradition with my girls because we make some decorations together.

I love the 4th!

We go to church & have a big pancake breakfast (this year its the 3rd cause they didn't want to interrupt services don't ya know!). Then back to our house to get ready for our pool party/bbq. After that it's time to head into town for fireworks. Love it!

Enjoy those schnitzels, eh? One of the best things (sides the scenery) about Germany (lived there for 3 yrs)

Our July 4th tradition is to watch the Nascar race. It's usually sometime close to the 4th. When we are at home (we're on vacation this week) we go to our little town's July 4th parade.

Hope you have a great time celebrating this year.

Thanks for stopping by, enjoyed your blog. Now following. My July 4th tradition is simply gathering with friends and family for some good grilled food, then on to watch the fireworks. Hope you enjoyed the long weekend.
