Boost My Blog Friday - 4/15

Hi everybody! Today is Friday, that means it's time again to catch up with Boost My Blog Friday here on Design It Chic!

For those of you new here, it's very simple.. the only rule is: no rules!! That's right!! This blog-hop is supposed to be a boost in our blogs' asses... friends-wise:)!!
So just make sure you link with us, follow us as the host (and leave us a comment so we know you follow us and return the love back:) and then feel free to follow whoever you want to, leave nice comments, send them love notes and chocolate boxes *WOW scratch that last part:P* and don't forget to do the happy dance!

If you join with us on Boost My Blog Friday, please take your time and leave a comment, so we know you're participating with us and maybe pay you a visit:) Thanks!

And as always, today we have another question for you:
What is one tradition you have around the Easter Holiday?

Well every year we do a themed version of the egg hunting, where instead of eggs we hide different objects depending on what theme we have that year. This year we're going with the "Bieber Fever" theme:) That's gonna be fun! Now feel free to share your Easter traditions here with us and also find out what other traditions our fellow bloggers have too:) Let's get this party started!

And, if you missed anything here at Design It Chic, you can now check the new Blog Tips section at the top of the page, if you need more tips on building up your blog, new blog design tutorials, search engine optimization tricks or few easy steps to improve your blog's traffic! Happy Friday all!

Hi!! I'm your newest follower and so happy:-) I just wanted to say a big thank you for this hosting!! It's always fun to meet new inspiring people!!!
As for the Easter tradition, I live in Greece, so our customs are much different than yours. Thursday before Easter Day we paint eggs and we bake butter cookies (mmm yummy!!). And on Easter day we have the traditional FEAST DAY!!!
That's it!!!
Ooohhh this was such a long comment!! Sorry for this!!

Stopping by to play along and say thanks for hosting! As far as Easter traditions go - it's just the four of us now since we live over 2000 miles from our families. However, before we moved in the past 5 years, we would always go to my dad's where all of my cousins, aunts, uncles, etc., and their families would come for Easter and hang out and there was a good 50-75 people every year and we'd have a child's easter egg hunt and an adult easter egg hunt - it was a lot of fun and a tradition I miss terribly. *sigh* Have a great day! :)

Hi! We just have a simple one of hiding the Easter chocolate eggs around the house then exchanging them with each other!

Some years I take my nieces, nephews and god kids to a Easter egg hunt. We also have a traditional dinner at my grandmas house.
Have a great weekend!

I'm a new follower, thanks for hosting.

I am going to start a new tradition this year and dye eggs. We used to dye it with my family in Eastern Europe, but I haven't done it since I moved to Australia 10 years ago. Now my older child is 4 and I thought it would be a good time to teach him about my heritage and have some fun with it.

I'm planning on doing something similar. I was going to buy a 20 piece puzzle for my daughter and hide each piece in an egg to find. I'll probably number the eggs. I was going to do the same for my son with a small LEGO set. Thanks for hosting the hop again. You changed your blog design, didn't you? Love the new fonts.

Hi, new follower too, have enjoyed reading some new blogs! For Easter we head to the grampians in Victoria, where the kids run a mock, chase the kangaroos and have a great big Easter egg hunt!

Unknown said...

Even though my kids are getting older (17, 14, 12, 10) we all still love to dye Easter eggs.

Double Shot of Espresso said...

Even though the kids are getting older there always seems to be one young one so we still do our Easter Egg Hunt! Hundreds of eggs filled with candy and money! Super Fun!

hi! i'm an old follower but my first time to join your blog hop :)

for easter, we spend it with relatives. usually, we do the egg hunt and for every egg found, there's a corresponding money prize! we only do that when someone sponsors cash, otherwise, we just take turns hiding and looking for eggs hehe :) the fun part is designing them. i wonder what we will be doing this year. :D

Tricia @ Take 10 With Tricia said...

With toddlers we still do lots of Easter Egg hunts. And the Easter Bunny always pays our house a visit while we are at church Easter morning. We easily get out the door that morning ("we have to go or the bunny won't come") and come home to baskets full of goodies.

Hi, new follower here and so happy to have come across your wonderful blog! My daughter started a new tradition this year where she drew a large egg and calls it the family egg. Each family member signs their name on it and decorates a small portion of it ( there are 5 of us all together.) So we plan on doing this every year now to see how different each egg is from year to year!

As for Easter Tradition, we always go to church in the AM and then have a delicious meal with family (at someone else's house because I am NOT - yet - a great cook!)

This year my son is two and finally old enough to do some fun things with. We're going to have our first family Easter Egg hunt.

Sorry so long! :)

Hi, new follower here!!! My fiance and I started a tradition last year on Easter, and that is to dye Easter eggs!!! And Easter will always be special for us because it was on Easter in 2009 that we started dating!

We always have an Easter egg hunt! My sister is 22, I'm almost 19 and my cousin is nearly 18. We can't have an Easter without it! The past few years has been Deal or No Deal style... Trade your eggs in for a chance to get the $100 egg!! :)

We always dye eggs. My husband can't stand hard boiled eyes, but it does it for me. Now thats love!

As a kid, we used to go to my Mom's hometown to visit relatives...and the cemetary. We'd pack a lunch and eat at the cemetary or nearby. Weird. I know.

Love, Love, Love your new look. It is fabulous!

RE Easter - I love easter egg hunts. I know the holiday is about Jesus and how we have a living faith, but there is nothing to compare with the simple joy of little kiddos finding eggs.

Thanks for hosting this party! I've been your follower for several weeks and enjoy visiting on Friday!

For Easter...my in-laws always do a money hunt for us. They hide a bunch of $1 bills around the house and we get to find them. Of course there is also a egg hunt for the kiddos but as a 20-something adult I enjoy getting to relive my easter hunt past...so fun!!!

My kids are so young we haven't really started traditions, and we live far away from family, but most of our church does too, so we always have a potluck there on easter and thanksgiving and they do an egg hunt and stuff. its fun.
