Air So Pure

Remember how i said I'm never gonna get plants with flowers in my home for fear of not killing them(i have this impression that plants with flowers die faster..is it just me??)oh well i kept my promise so far.. but i couldn't resist this little bugger.. and it has no flowers growing.. so I'm good for now.

It's an English Ivy with white variegated leafs..also known as Hedera "White Wonder".. and it came with some instructions and a website to check. SO i went on and this is what i found:

So i felt so happy that without even knowing about all these things when i bought the plant, my little ivy will help my home feel more like filled with purified air(as promised:) We'll see. I'll definitely tell you guys if my home feels like fresher after having her sticking with us for a while.(that's if i don't kill her first by over-watering or something:P)

Anybody else experimenting with some other plants to get your homes more pure???

I have a couple house plants not really to purify the air but just cause I like that way they look and my mom gave them to me :).I love Philadendrons (sp?), they are SUPER easy to take care of I have had the same plant for over 10 years probably close to 15. Also Asparagus ferns are easy and funky looking. Happy Planting!

Hi~

Thanks so much for not only taking the time to come visit my blog but also reading my very long post AND leaving such a sweet comment. Thank you!!

I love your beautiful rings that you have made. I definitely give them a thumbs up! My middle daughter has just started making some jewelry as well. I hope to start posting about it soon. She has done a really great job.

As far as flowers are concerned, I am thrilled to find someone like me who can not keep a plant alive that has flowers! I have some kind of green plant that I got years ago when one of my daughters were born. I can't kill that thing no matter how hard I try! ;o) However, if you give me one with flowers on it, it will be dead within a week! A sweet neighbor who brings us dinner about once a week just recently gave me a hanging basket. I'm not sure what kind of plant/flower it is but, amazingly, it is still alive! I have been wanting to get some hanging baskets for our awesome front porch since we moved into our new home about a year ago but that has just not been high on the priority list. However, if we can manage to keep this little beauty alive, hopefully we will get a few others.

I look forward to hearing how your new plant does and how your potential jewelry sales go!

Thanks again for visiting my blog! Have a wonderfully blessed weekend!

That looks like a nice plant. I do not have any house plants. They would not live. I just have my flowers outside...

I have three plants in the window by my treadmill, They are growing out of control. I might have to rethink the type of plant after seeing that site. I thought they all cleaned the air hmmm.

Thanks for the site.

Plants are so awesome to have in the house! You'll see, after some time you'll start treating it like another member of the household - they really don't need that much care - just sunlight, water, and plenty of love! =) I'm sure you'll do just great.
