RTT again!!!

OK so it's Tuesday...than randomness it is:)
If you don't know what Random Tuesday Thoughts means, head over to The UnMom and you'll figure out quickly.

randomtuesday

Now shall the randomness begin:

* I bought a can of white spray to work on some items in my home i want to give a touch to, yet somehow, there's always things coming in between and i didn't manage to do anything about that 1 1/2 weeks later.

* I'm into all baby things lately. I dunno why.. it may be somewhat related to my friend's D new baby coming up, but I'm not 100% sure that's entirely the cause. the tiny little pink and blue things out there make me melt.. fingers cross that I'm gonna pass this baby fever out of my system pretty soon!

* On another note tough, i hate period cramps. It makes me wanna yell, and be cranky all day. Plus i can't do much. But who asked me if i want them?

* Ever since we have a new sandwich maker, i got crazy on these sandwiches my husband makes every morning.. i dunno why.. if i make them the exact way i don't like them that much... he must have a secret ingredient or something.. or should it be just the fact that I'm laying in bed while he makes breakfast for me???.. hmm maybe that..

* Who receives at the end of June a bill we were supposed to receive sometimes in April for a house we moved out of in December???.. seriously.. buy a calendar mister-bill-maker-man or whatever your name is:P

Ok this should be the random for today. I'll go now have one of those fabulous sandwiches my husband made for me:D

And thanks ModernMom for this award!

I'm passing it on to:

Happy Randomness!

Pink or Blue We Welcome You!

Last night i got the best news in the past few weeks... my best friend is pregnant! I can't believe it , as she and her husband have tried this for a long time and they had lost their hopes of having a child of their own a long time ago. But last night.. that was it:)
D is only 3-4 weeks pregnant so of course we don't know what the baby's gonna be, but as soon as i found out i started thinking already to the baby shower that I'm gonna throw for my friend sometime before the baby comes.

Soooooo, in the name of the excitement and happiness of having my friend D welcoming a new baby in her life, i did a little try out for some ideas i now have for her baby shower. So i took a few random pics to share with you.

Here are just 3 of the items I'm thinking to multiply and incorporate in the shower I'm planning.. I made a batch of pink for now but planning on the blue batch too... as soon as we'll find out if the baby's a boy or a girl I'll know for sure:)

Til' then here's the try out:

So what do you guys say??? Keep these babies bakin'?:)

Pretty tins???

For the past few weeks i gathered all the tins that i had left over after eating all the sweet corn in the world.. i thought that i can come up with something to use them for... i looked and looked over the internet to see people experiencing with these little buggers.... To see the good points and the no-no's when playing around with tins.

After a few days of debating, i came down to my last 3 choices, and i want you guys out there to tell me which of them do you find cuter than the rest.. and help me pick the final one:)

So what do you lovely ladies think???
I like more the flowers centerpieces idea, but my tins are not that tall.. they're around 2.4".. so i dunno how that would turn out eventually... as for the pencil holder.. it would look nice but i already have 2 other pencil holders that are of course my husband's(so they are more masculine) but then again the office is his space so i kinda have to respect that.
Now the spices tin.. well, while being to small for flower arrangements, they are also kinda to big for the spices tin..plus i dunno if the spices would be freshly stored in them(since they have no lid).. oh i wish i can be decided for once:P oh well this is supposed to be fun .. but i still need your opinion!
So help ladies!!!

RTT time!!!

OK so it's Tuesday...than randomness it is:)
If you don't know what Random Tuesday Thoughts means, head over to The UnMom and you'll figure out quickly.

randomtuesday

Now shall the randomness begin:

* I read the yahoo news last night, and i saw an article about a puppy being flushed in the toilet somewhere in Great Britain. Seriously people, who let their 4yrs old unsupervised with a few days old puppy. Something may happened to the both of them because kids are kids and puppies are..well puppies. Anyway you get my point... if you have toddlers running around the places, please people, don't buy small puppies, or at least don't let your kids around them unsupervised..either of them can get injured, i hope you know. Thank you very much!

* I'm trying to put up together a menu for the 4th of July, but i can't find something celebrating yet unpredictable... any help out there??

* I love the "Esprit" logo. Do you guys know it?.. it's that "E" formed out just by the horizontal lines.. i find it cool..yet somehow, yesterday i saw a small wedding boutique that stole their logo.. it was called something with "E" at the beginning, don't remember the exact name, so they thought why not use the Esprit "E"... that sucks.. but it made me wonder.. do these large companies register their complete name to the association of rights or do they also register small things as their "E" in the beginning?? anyone know anything??? no?? you don't care that much about these stupid things??? oh well than I'm a loner here:D

* Ooo now i have it with the "tax free" products in the airports.. why in the world do they call them "tax free".. i don't care if the retailer doesn't pay taxes to the state so he calls his products "tax free".. i want to pay less for those stuff, yet i pay kinda the same amount if not even more than the regular prices.... can somebody get in charge of these thieves, please?! thank you very much!

* I bought new towels for my bathroom and kitchen. And yes they were cheap but we use them when we don't have guests at your place. I have a guests set too, but since most of the times it's just me and my husband around here, cheap towels it is:D I love the feeling of new towels tough...of course i wash them first..(don't you guys?) so now we have new towels. Oh the world is good again:)

Happy Random Tuesday ladies!!!

Happy Random Tuesday Everyone!

Aloha Friday!!!

Hey everyone! Sorry for missing the blog for a few days.. but now I'm back and I'll keep up with you guys. Today is Friday, and as i generally remain faithful to the things i commit to, i will have my Aloha Friday today as usual!
If you have no clue what that is already, go to An Island Life and you'll figure it out pretty fast:)

Now my Question here is :

Are you now in the place where you thought you'd be 5 years ago??

I was pretty analytical these days. My husband and I were looking back at the things we've done so far and looking forward at the things we want to achieve in the long term and in the short term.. we made plans and we parsed the things we did by now.. and we came to wonder ourselves.. this question. And the answer to this is: NO. Yet somehow it's a good "NO" this time.. i mean both my husband and i are so young and 5 years ago we didn't think we'd be this far already..doing so many things on our own just like "grown-ups" do.. i know I'm to lame these days, but i believe it's good to sometimes question yourself about these things:).. and i am curious of your answers ladies! So.. I'm hearing you saying:...

Simply Beautiful!!!

Today i want to enjoy simple things! I want to break away from the stress of our modern life and just enjoy the small things that truly counts. That's why I'll go prepare some homemade lemonade on the rocks, put some sunscreen lotion on my feet, get my sunglasses and pop in a chair with a good book in my hands and enjoy the life!

Meanwhile i will let you drool over this simple home that I've discovered this week looking through the Country Living magazines:

And the lovely owners of this beautiful simple home are also running a decor business with all vintage jewelry, frames and all kind of accessories so if you want to check their shop, here's the link Bittersweet Designs.

Hope you enjoyed this eye-candy as much as i did and i dare you to relax and enjoy the simple things in life.. at least today!

Happy Sunday!

Aloha Friday

It's Friday again and that means just one thing: it's time for Aloha Friday! Don't know what that is, go over An Island Life and see how this all works.

Meanwhile here's my question:

How do you lovely ladies sterilize the dishes you buy at thrift stores and flea markets???

I looked up on the internet and i saw that many restaurants do a solution that is 1 part bleach and 2 parts water and then let the dishes air dry. But bleach on the plates I'm planning to use for food sounds a wee bit scary to me. Then again, what happens if the dishes are pewter dishes?? How do you sterilize that then?? And also consider i don't own a dishwasher..* bummer i know *
I'm really looking forward for your answers, cause I'm really in a pickle with this one here!
Thanks a lot!

Oh and also i received this cute award from Tricia @ Thought Treads Thanks alot Tricia!

Gooooo Flower Power!!!

When coming to flower inspiration, I always go to the mother of them all: Martha Stewart. I know she has pretty hot prices for her creations.. but i get my inspiration and then i try to recreate that look for less money. * Who doesn't do that?? *
Anyway the summer season is upon us and i have this thing that i change my flower preferences depending on the season. So for this summer i went with beautiful peonies, delicate lilies and stunning pink orchids for my tastes.
Which one of these bouquets inspires you most for a summer table centerpiece or for a chic mantel full of summer glow and luxury?

Orchids
