Today we'll be chatting with our next star, Jocelyn from
Inside Bru Crew Life! She's a very talented lady that manages a blog and a small online business, but always puts her family first.
Design It Chic: Hi Jocelyn! Can you tell us a few words about yourself?Jocelyn: I am a SAHM to 3 great kids and I am married to my absolute best friend in the world. I like to keep myself busy with family, church, crafts, and baking.
Design It Chic: So nice to meet you:) And since we know a bit more about you now, tell us what's your little business about!Jocelyn: One of my crafts for the past 2 years has been making hair accessories for my daughter and myself. This past February I took the plunge and started an Etsy store to sell my fabric flower creations to everyone else.
Design It Chic: That is so lovely! And who doesn't love girlie stuff?! Especially those adorable headbands and those amazingly cute flower necklaces are going down on our favorite list. But what is your muse when you create? What does inspire you?Jocelyn: I get inspired looking at all the beautiful fabrics that I find. It is so much fun to lay them all out on my table and start pairing different ones together. I also get inspired by color combos that I see in stores, online, or in nature.
Design It Chic: So very interesting! And since you have an inspiration source, we bet you also have a target. So who do you create for? What is the profile of the women you create your accessories for?Jocelyn: There is no limit to who I create for. I can see these headbands/clips on girls and women of all ages. My daughter is 9 and I am 34, and we both wear the same ones. They are just so much fun for adding color to your wardrobe and hair.
Design It Chic: Awesome! And seeing that you have so many new designs in your store already, are you planning on something special for this Holiday Season?Jocelyn: I am just trying to continually add new items so that there is a good variety for people to shop from. There just might be another sale before Christmas, but you will have to follow me on my Facebook fan page to find out when that might be:)
Design It Chic: We hear you also have a blog, right?! Tell us a bit what's going on in there?Jocelyn: Yes, I am always posting some fun new baking or a crafty project for all my blog readers. Come check out the fun at Inside Bru Crew Life!
Design It Chic: That sounds so exciting! But do you find any time for family and friends with all that busy schedule?Jocelyn: My family always has to come first. They mean the world to me, so I have keep my priorities in order. I try to do all my projects when they are at school or sleeping. I am a night owl too, so most of my creations happen late at night. 
Design It Chic: We bet! And tell us what are your plans for Christmas? Attending any craft shows? Showcase your amazing accessories to any local store or perhaps a magazine?Jocelyn: I was able to participate in a local craft fair in November and it was so much fun getting my name out to the community. That was the only one that I signed up for this year though. I am keeping busy with lots of custom headband orders/clips this month. I hadn't thought about local stores or magazines...what a great idea. I might have to check into that:)
Design It Chic: And now for the grand finale, can you please tell us what is your surprise for our readers today?Jocelyn: I am giving away this awesome cluster flower headband. It is created out of 3 different satin fabrics and accented with some pink glass beads. The stretch headband is very comfortable and fits most heads. Along with the headband I will be sending a mini stocking filled with peppermint kisses.
